Just came off a brace of public holidays either side of the weekend: Deepavali, aka Diwali, Divali, Dewali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, and Hari Raya Puasa, aka Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month.

Read Uncle Fred In The Springtime by P.G. Wodehouse. Quite a riot!

A while ago, I read The World Of Mr Mulliner by same. Also very good.
